It’s never too late to achieve a dream.
Ruby Holt taught us that this week when the 100-year-old woman did this.
She let it slip at her assisted living center that she’d never seen the ocean before, and so her friends applied to a foundation that grants wishes to senior citizens.
Holt grew up on a cotton farm and was too poor to leave Tennessee and too busy to do so, working in a shirt factory after her cotton-picking days ended.
“We don’t have nothing like this in Giles County,” Holt said.
