Not Derek McLean of Milford, Massachusetts who started collecting pennies when he bought his home years ago and when he picked one up, he’d tell his wife, “it’s going to the mortgage.”
He says he found an average of 2.5 pennies a day and stuck them in a box or two.
He has now made his final mortgage payment. In pennies.
