Bob CollinsA ban on same-sex marriage is just one step away from the the November 2012 ballot. A House committee passed the bill to the House floor today on a mostly party-line vote. Given its broad support among Republicans, it’s a sure bet to pass when it comes up for a vote on Thursday. The only question is whether any Republicans will speak in favor of it before a vote. In the Senate, nearly every Republican member was silent during the debate.
