Golf.com reports that workers got rid of the Nazi symbol before any golfers saw it. Local police made a report of the incident.
For its part, the course was collected, but stern.
“We see it as most likely some kids out there vandalizing, but we don’t know who or what it was,” a pro shop attendant told Golf.com. “You know, this is a great place and we don’t want to make a big fuss over it, really.”
This is far from the first swastika to pop up in Minnesota in recent months. This winter, also in Lakeville, a student at the suburb’s South High School put a pro-KKK message and swastika in a bathroom stall.
And earlier this summer, someone spray-painted swastikas and words at an Islamic cemetery in Dakota County.
