It’s not so much that a giant blue chicken is going to ‘grace’ the new Walker Sculpture Garden, according to MPR’s Euan Kerr.
It’s that it’s going to dominate it.
It’s 16 feet tall, Euan reports today.

“It promises to be the new ‘Spoonbridge and Cherry,’” Olga Viso, the Walker’s executive director, tells the New York Times, which is gushing over the news, “in respectful but provocative dialogue with it — a kind of pop dialogue.”
It’s a big chicken. A blue chicken. What’s to dialogue about once you get past, “what’s this big chicken doing in such a lovely garden”?
Plus, we’ve already got one of those in Minnesota. Right, Rothsay?
