It’s probably not earth-shattering news that love can conquer all but love can conquer all.
Taylor Morris and Danielle Kelly are getting married Saturday down in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
A little more than three years ago, Taylor stepped on an explosive device in Afghanistan, lost his legs, arm, and a hand.
It was a big day in Cedar Falls when the couple returned home.
The town raised money to help with their recovery, including building a home for them.
“We have been living in limbo for the past 3½ years,” Danielle tells the Des Moines Register. “But we got to this point by having a strong foundation, by being great friends and teammates.”
Every year, the Glow Stick 5k in Cedar Falls raised money for the couple. But over time, they wanted the event to send the money somewhere else.
When it was held last month, it raised $10,000 for a local musician who’s been diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma.
