Bob Collins retired from Minnesota Public Radio in 2019 after 12 years of writing NewsCut and pointing out to complainants that posts weren’t news stories. A son of Massachusetts, he was a news editor 1992-1998, created the MPR News regional website in 1999, invented the popular Select A Candidate, started several blogs, and every day lamented that his Minnesota Fantasy Legislature project never caught on.
MPR’s Tim Nelson was patrolling the St. Paul waterfront today when he saw someone’s summer being ruined.
They had a funeral for Bill Holm out in Minneota on Sunday. Then everyone went over to the Legion hall for lunch.
Perhaps the U.S. Supreme Court won’t be interested in settling the Franken-Coleman race, if it gets that far.
It’s getting harder to find the traditional things we cling to at the end of a long winter.
